Randall Cole

MSSW, CSW

Randall believes that every individual, couple or family is unique and deserving of dignity, respect and the right to define happiness and fulfillment in the ways most meaningful to them. Unfortunately, sometimes, our life experiences and unresolved trauma can present barriers and obstacles to achieving our goals to be our best versions of ourselves. However, these challenges need not define our future.

Randall has a varied educational, professional and personal background. Born and raised in the USA, he moved to the UK as an adult and there began his career in the field of social service organizations, primarily working to support neurodiverse youth and their families. Prior to his current career, he worked in organizations promoting the rights and well-being of marginalized communities such immigrants/refugees, 2SLGBTQIA+ folk, and BIPOC communities both in Europe and across North America.

Randall has extensive experience in working with individuals, couples and families--with additional expertise in supporting youth with autism and other neurodiverse issues, trans and gender-questioning clients as well as other members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

He takes a very integrated, person-centered, trauma-informed, culturally aware approach. As a social worker, operating within a Systems theory model, Randall collaborates with clients to create a safe space, free of judgement to frame their work through a strengths-based lens. He draws from a variety of therapeutic, trauma-informed practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Therapy and others.

Randall graduated with highest honors, earning a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville’s Kent School of Social Work and Family Sciences, and receiving the graduate school’s annual Alice Eaves Barn’s Award for Outstanding Achievement.  He is fully registered to practice social work and psychotherapy in both the province of Ontario and the state of Kentucky.
